Why can't I just book?
Because these are people's homes and livelihoods, not a product on a shelf. We talk to every family and group first. The wrong group can do real damage, and protecting the community comes before filling a seat.
Who actually leads the journey?
The community. The local leader designs the route, leads every day and decides what is shared, because this is their travel business. Elev-Eight is there too, as the system behind it: we build the business with them, find partners and pathways to grow it, and handle preparation, logistics and safety.
Where does my money go?
Into a business the community owns. Everyone you meet along the way is paid well for their work. A fixed part of every place (£200 to £700, depending on the journey) goes into a fund for what the community chose, from goats to a water system, so every group moves it closer. And part of what we earn goes into training and coaching, so each community can run more of its journey itself, and keep more of what it earns. We show you exactly what your group funded, with photos.
Are flights included?
No. We give you the arrival airport and time, and you book your own flights. Everything on the ground is covered from the moment you land.
Can I bring my own group?
Yes. Clubs, schools, companies and creators can take a whole departure or build their own. See partner journeys.
